Phase of development: Stage 1 performance updgrade for BMW M550D

Since end of 2017, the BMW M550d xDrive is available as a sedan (G30) and touring model (G31). The built B57 engine with Quadturbo technology achieves 400 hp and 760 Nm of torque and is currently the world strongest straight-six cylinder engine. The newly developed Quadturbo technology consists of two low-pressure and two high-pressure turbochargers, controlled step by step, depending on the engine load. Only with the retrieval of full power, all turbochargers are used.
Of course, the Quadturbo technology has made us curious and we have added our own project vehicle in our development fleet. The first dyno runs are already behind us and we are confident that the 3.0-liter diesel engine will deliver about 480 hp and 850 Nm of torque after the development phase - without encountering the maximum limits of the engine.
