24h Race 2018: Driver quartet for the Porsche Cayman 981 is completed
The countdown for the 24h race 2018 is running and our driver's seats are taken. On the Porsche Cayman 981 Kohei Fukuda and Georg Griesemann receive support from Florian Quante and Michael Mönch. Both have been active in the RCN, VLN and 24h races for several years.
Florian Quante, owner of a car workshop in Zwingenberg, Hessen, scored the class win in the V2T on a Renault Megane RS at the 24h race in 2016. In the VLN season 2018 he drives together with Bernd Kleeschulte a BMW E92 M3 in class SP8. Michael Mönch is only a stone's throw away from the Nordschleife. For many years, the local races with his own Hellboys Racing Team successfully a BMW E90 in VLN and 24-race in class V4.
The driver line up for the Renault R.S 01 GT3 is established for several weeks. Heiko Hammel and Dieter Schmidtmann will be supported by the Canadian driver Kuno Wittmer, who made his Renault R.S. 01 GT3 debut at the 24h-qualifying race: “I’m very delighted in taking part of the Nurburgring 24h-race this year! I believe this race to as special as some of the iconic races, such as 24h at Le Mans, 2hh at Daytona or 12h at Sebring. Currently our team is working hard on the preparations of both vehicles for the season highlight 2018 in the Eifel.
