Georg celebrates after six years his comeback in VLN on our Porsche Cayman 981. In 2017 he was Team Manager in the GTronix360° Team mcchip-dkr. You will learn more about Georg in the following interview.
How did you get into motorsport?
I got my first motorcycle with petrol engine when I was 3 years old. I have been active in motor sports since I was 15 years old, because my whole family established an own motorsport team
Your biggest success in motorsport?
There are two experiences, one being the class win of the 24h race in 2007, as I was able to overtake the previously leading car in the last corner and the overall victory in the Nordschleife race in Toyota Yaris Cup under difficult weather conditions.
Your expectations and targets for the season 2018?
I hope we can fight in our class V5 for podium positions.
Why is the production car class so interesting?
The driver skills are more in the foreground, because the vehicles are technically on the same level.
How do you prepare for a race weekend?
I should not say that here ... But seriously, I will devote more to my physical fitness.
What do you do when you sit not in the race car?
Because of my job, I sit a lot in the office. In my spare time, I like to screw on cars, especially on old Porsche. During the fifth season, the Cologne Carnival takes a large part of my free time.
