Successful test before season highlight: 24h Qualifying Race and RCN 3

KONDO Racing and mcchip-dkr completed the 24h Qualification Race last weekend with the Nissan GT-R Nismo GT3 successfully. The Japanese GT3 sports car finished the six-hours race in 17th place overall. The focus of the mission was not a good placement. It was about driving as many kilometers as possible. Important findings were gained, especially with an eye to the tire compounds. The number of tire specifications per axle is limited in the ADAC TOTAL 24h Race.
Now there are still four weeks left to prepare the Nissan GT-R Nismo GT3 for the legendary race once around the clock. The drivers Tsugio Matsuda, Mitsunori Takaboshi und Tomonobu Fujii will be assisted by Tom Coronel at the ADAC TOTAL 24h Race. The fast Dutchman could not participate in the qualifying race because of the WTCR race at the Zandvoort Circuit.
The RCN race “Preis der Schloßstadt Brühl” competed the GTronix360 Team mcchip-dkr with the Fivestar Fitness Porsche Cayman 981 and the BMW 325i E90 by Jörg Rohde. Despite Eifel's typical weather capers the race went trouble-free.
Ben Bünnagel and Markus Diederich piloted the Porsche Cayman safely over the distance of 12 laps. The driver duo will complete the ADAC TOTAL 24h Race on the Porsche Cayman together with Kohei Fukuda and Thomas D. Hetzer. The RCN race on the 24h track version of the Nürburgring Nordschleife served as a perfect preparation. The Porsche Cayman droves the race with Dunlop tires and not with tires of the RCN partner company. That led to a time penalty of four minutes. A good placement was excluded from the beginning.
The two rookies Jörg Rohde and Sebastian Cremer scored a successful first race with the BMW 325i E90. Starting driver Sebastian Cremer did a perfect job in spite of road tires in the pouring rain and handed the BMW 325i E90 to Jörg Rohde after 6 laps. A drying track allowed the change to slick tyres and Jörg Rohde, just like Sebastian Cremer without much Nürburgring experience showed in his sprint lap very decent lap times. It will certainly not be the last time that the two appear with the GTronix360 Team mcchip-dkr on the Nordschleife.
