Transmission problems prevents VLN debut
Many fans have missing the GTronix360° Team mcchip-dkr Renault R.S. 01 at the season start of the endurance racing championship Nürburgring 2017. Unfortunately, an irreparable transmission damage occurred in Friday training. For us, no reason to give up - no effort has been spared, to start on Saturday. At night, a new transmission was brought in France and ensures for a spark of hope. A little missing component, which was unfortunately no longer to be found in the short time, destroyed our hopes. According to first findings, we are confident to solve the transmissions problems up to the second VLN race, which will take place on April 8th.The Weekend was more successful for the BMW E90 325i, which we used in the hard-fought class V4. The driver duo Georg Griesemann and Kohei Fukuda ensured a respectable result with constant lap times and reached the chequered flag in class V4 on 9th position. Especially for the Japanese mcchip-dkr distribution partner Kohei Fukuda, who drives his first VLN race, a remarkable result.
