Team mcchip-dkr: NLS support team for Renazzo Motor Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO2
The mcchip-dkr team recently announced that, unfortunately, there will be no GT3 project of its own in the 2024 NLS season. Now the team presents great news! As the support team for Renazzo Motor, mcchip-dkr is pleased to announce the arrival of a brand-new Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO2 for the Nordschleife.
The Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO2 will complete its first racing kilometers in the green hell at the start of the season, the NLS doubleheader on the first weekend in April. Project initiator and racing driver Kiki Sak Nana will share the cockpit of the Lamborghini with Christoph Breuer and Dieter Schmidtmann at four to five races during the Nürburgring Endurance Series. The trio has driven GT3 cars in various teams and is very familiar with the subject thanks to years of experience on the Nordschleife. But every new car has its own characteristics. This season will be used as a test year to develop a perfect setup for the 2025 NLS season and a possible entry into the 24-hour Nürburgring.
"I’m very proud that Kiki Sak Nana trust our team and, thanks to his initiative, we can manage the Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO2 project for the Thai Lamborghini distributor Renazzo Motor on the Nordschleife", says team boss Danny Kubasik. "Unfortunately, despite promises from another manufacturer, we did not receive our own GT3 car and are pleased about the opportunity to act as an operations team."
In addition to the Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO2, the team, based in Mechernich will also compete this year with a Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport in selected races of the Porsche Endurance Trophy Nürburgring as part of the NLS. The motorsport highlight will be, of course, the Nürburgring 24-hour race. The Porsche Cayman is driven by different drivers at the various racing events. These include Markus Nölken, Otto Klohs, and the Japanese Kohei Fukuda and Kouichi Okumura.
