Well-known in the new dress - Porsche Cayman 981The 2019 season has almost started, and it's time to find out more about our Porsche Cayman. Next season the V5 car will be challanging in the VLN again.
Even if there will be some significant changes to the last season:
The Porsche 2019 is piloted by Nick Salewsky (mechanical engineering student of the RWTH Aachen, already successfully on the road with his father Edgar Salewsky on a Porsche 911 Carrera RSR in the Youngtimer Trophy), Nick Hancke (the guy from Ingolstadt could already convince in the 2018 season on a BMW e36 325i), Kohei Fukuda - the vehicle owner and CEO of our Japanese partner "Sunrise BLVD", and Thomas D. Hetzer (Nordschleife veteran of the GT4 class). An interesting mix of experience and fresh wind, which should lead to fast lap times. Whether the team will further expand is not certain yet. And, like the driver, the vehicle design was subject to various changes.
The Porsche Cayman continues to drive in the "Gtronix 360 ° Team mcchip-dkr", but thanks to its new main sponsor "Five Star Fitness" its outfit has been fundamentally changed this year. Our team also receives further support this year from the new partners "ELTEN GmbH" (manufacturer of safety shoes), "BIO-CIRCLE Surface Technology GmbH" (development and sales of chemical and biotechnological products for surface technology) and "Automobile Kleinz" Bad Kreuznach (used car dealer).
On the subject of tires we can score with the expertise of Dunlop this season. (We already reported about this in the article for the first team meeting) As the rollout in Zandvoort at the beginning of March did not come to fruition, the first ride in the new garment, will take place on the test and set rides on 16th of march. However, the following races are fixed for the Cayman:
