Restauration and rebuilding Corvette C2 Sting Ray
The second generation of the Chevrolet classic „Corvette C2 Sting Ray“ is getting a total overhaul in our production hall. The C2 was the first Corvette with independent suspension in the rear. The production starts in September 1962 and ended in the fall of 1967.
Within the last years of its existence, our ‘66er Sting Ray was rolling on across Germany with a 5.4 Liter engine. Now it gets, suitable to the construction year, a 7 L big block with according torque value.
Following process steps belong to our Overhaul:
- Complete Restauration of the fibreglass body
- All chrome parts polished
- Complete Restauration of the chassis (powder-coated)
- Body-cavity sealing
- Waxed stone chip protection
- New leaf springs and damper (Bilstein)
- New four-piston break system from Chevrolet
- 7.0 liter 427 V8 engine
- Transmission overhaul
- Cable harness, break lines and fuel lines completely renewed
- eats, carpet and hood blasted with dry ice
